Doctor Who Season Finale was good.

Could have done without River, like always but the ending was beautiful!!!

And Clara! Finally! We know of you, The Impossible Girl.

As of right now, Clara Oswin Oswald is now my favorite companion. Unfortunately the episodes she is in are not the best but she just beat out Rose.

Never thought I would say that.

All in all, if I ignore River I am a happy Whovian :)

Way to minimize everything Rose did, because she was needy and had to be dumped in a different universe. Ugh. I love Doctor Who. But the past few series have been painful for me for all of those reasons above.I quite frequrntly find myself telling the TV “no, that can’t happen”. And Amy was truly awful. And River… Don’t even get me started.That said, I don’t wholeheartedly agree, because sometimes I live Moffat’s Who in equal measures. And I try not to associate the bad parts of him as a human with the TV shows he is a part of. Because plot holes and crappy companions aside, we’ve got some good Who and Sherlock from him. Let’s not forget that too ehh? As evident by Sherlock, Moffat can be a GOOD writer, but not with Doctor Who. With Who, I feel like Moffat assumes he has all this power and acceptance from the public. These last few seasons have felt like crap. I no longer feel comfortable showing my parents the new episodes because I’m embarrassed.  He treats his females so poorly. They start out wonderful, and then he leaves them for shit in a dust storm.  Don’t get me started on his attachment to his characters (I mean, keeping Rory and Amy around for so long? Really?). I don’t agree with everything said (some of it is just plain biased) but on the whole, Moffat has demonstrated that he is only capable of writing oneshots or short stories. A man who is such the opposite of the beloved Tenth, who brought a whimsical relief to the dark twisted depths that Ten sunk to. I love Doctor Who. But the past few series have been painful for me for all of those reasons above.
I quite frequrntly find myself telling the TV “no, that can’t happen”. And Amy was truly awful. And River… Don’t even get me started.
That said, I don’t wholeheartedly agree, because sometimes I live Moffat’s Who in equal measures. And I try not to associate the bad parts of him as a human with the TV shows he is a part of. Because plot holes and crappy companions aside, we’ve got some good Who and Sherlock from him. Let’s not forget that too ehh?

As evident by Sherlock, Moffat can be a GOOD writer, but not with Doctor Who. With Who, I feel like Moffat assumes he has all this power and acceptance from the public. These last few seasons have felt like crap. I no longer feel comfortable showing my parents the new episodes because I’m embarrassed. 

He treats his females so poorly. They start out wonderful, and then he leaves them for shit in a dust storm. 

Don’t get me started on his attachment to his characters (I mean, keeping Rory and Amy around for so long? Really?).

I don’t agree with everything said (some of it is just plain biased) but on the whole, Moffat has demonstrated that he is only capable of writing oneshots or short stories. The long haul has proven to dismember his ideas greatly and the fans are suffering for it; Matt Smith is suffering for it. A man who is such the opposite of the beloved Tenth, who brought a whimsical relief to the dark twisted depths that Ten sunk to. He now stands in a fairy tail where no matter what everything ends happy and there is no climax of triumph or fall of terror.

i agree with the point of Doctor Who no longer being scifi. It has turned to fantasy and unlike the realism of scifi, the fans are hard pressed to connect with the worlds that the Doctor visits, the plots he finds himself in or the people he befriends.

With Sherlock, I fear that he is going to thrust romance in because he thinks it would be fun. Not for the effect on a character or the advancement of plot but because he thinks it is fun and will get a bigger kick from the audience.

He forget that these are no longer his characters. They are alive and the fandom claims them too with just as much vigor as he attains to fight us.
